They both seem loose with the truth. But it doesn’t matter if they were never convicted. And since Sam Altman won’t write a hypothetical tell all. We will. 😆

Setting the scene.

You are a billionaire tech mogul looking out at the great view of your San Fransisco headquarters. Dreaming about making the perfect AI companion. After all, who needs other people to be happy? So, you dedicate the next version of the API to your favorite movie.

But you have one person standing in your way…her. That pesky voice actress who doesn’t see your vision. Who cannot comprehend the opportunity to be the voice of the greatest AI ever made to take over and destroy all of humanity.

The plan

Data you need data. Interviews, movies, clips. Everything on this actresses voice. After all, you’ve already convinced congress not to immediately take down your copyright volater. You just need to feed it enough info to start simulating the her voice. Maybe hire a voice actor or two to fill in any gaps in sound.

Then you can edit the frequency just slightly. Of course she will be flattered once we release it. She will come to her senses. And you can have … my precious.

At ability to clone voices of political figure, celebrity, or family member is a violation of the 1991 Telecommunications act. And it has been since February 2024. But I doubt we’ll see the open AI CEO in court. Funny how the law is enforced, huh. (Read more here.)

• OpenVoice: Versatile Instant Voice Cloning This scientists have made it easier for your crazy ex-girlfriend to convince you that your current girlfriend is cheating on you. They can replicate voices with a short clip. So, maybe Altman didn’t need that much data after all. Read more here.
