🤔 The revolution was televised.

They made a commercial with AI. And now, people are kinda mad about it.

But Back in March, Under Armour(UA) released an AI - generated ad featuring the boxer Anthony Joshua. Instead of spending millions filming new content, they took old content from the UA archives, some AI, and some 3D CG to just make a new one.

Fear won’t help you solve anything. But it just might help light a fire under your bottom. And right now, the creative community is on fire. After all, the tech isn’t going away. So how can we create better reuse rules and reference the original copyright. After will you be trading in your car for a horse? I’m not. But from that innovation we have a new industry with new roles. It all came with a bit of loss too though. And now, it’s our generations turn to deal with that loss.

I look forward to seeing how we solve these questions in the next decade.

Paper

Generative AI meets 3D: A Survey on Text-to-3D in AIGC Era It’s a survey of text to 3D technologies. They come in two flavors Euclidean and Non-Euclidean data structures. they look at 3D avatar generation, texture generation, scene generation and more. There’s way to many tools to mention here.

Shaping Realities: Enhancing 3D Generative AI with Fabrication Constraints While AI can generate images and graphics, those aren’t always structurally sound. This means they can’t easily be translated into the physical world. This paper explores those gaps. The difference between the functional and aesthetic aspects of an object need to be understood by AI to develop something useful.
