They're coming for your bank account

There are days that I wish I could be the hacker behind some mysterious group. Getting to do cool and questionable things with these wild AI skills.

But, that’s not the side I fell on so, here I am telling you the cool and questionable things AI is being used to do…including accessing your bank account.

Heist movies are my jam! But some of it is becoming too real.

In February this year, the first ever AI heist used Deepfake technology . It was truly brilliant. They took $25.6M USD.

They fabricated a multi-person zoom call. During this call, they sent a a separate request to transfer money on behalf of the CEO. On the call, the CFO and others confirmed it was ok. Then poof. The money is gone. And they have no leads.

We nee more creative thinkers are in the Cybersecurity space to compete in the Wild, Wild West of Generative AI technologies.

Existing technologies are meant to flag unusual behaviors before the transaction completes. However, in Hong Kong, there was no real anomaly to detect because all practices where followed.

So, how can we know that were are actually on a call with real people?
