Today, we’re pondering the place of ads and AI in the lives of children. To me it’s a chicken or egg. Is it the parent’s responsibility to de-platform kids or the platform’s responsibility?

Whatever you think, one or the other neither or both.

Things are getting interesting.

Roblox, a build your own world children’s game, is launching video ads and e-commerce. Retailers are even building plugin experiences for the platform.

I’m actually less concerned about the ads and more concerned with the personalization of the ads on impressionable minds. Ads are a revenue generation stream for most consumer businesses. But one needs to ask, were should the line be drawn when it comes to children?

Sad News

  • Redbox is going to the great toy box in the sky.

  • Mod Pizza was going bankrupt but some company bought them. There’s just better pizza experiences out there…may it should fail.

  • AT&T customer lost more privacy because they just got hacked. I really should’ve stuck with Verizon.
